Hurdling White Lines: Dodging Cocaine
Hello readers, it has been a few months since the previous post. I feel it is safe to say that my thought vault on race is closed, for now. So what shall we discuss? Oh, let us speak about cocaine. That is right, that good ol’ “blow.” Since moving here, to New York City, I have encountered (not used, let us be clear) this common drug a handful of times.
You might ask how or where in the hell were you to even be around cocaine? So before I clarify all of that let us remember that I am from The Bahamas. Back home, people smoke weed but cocaine and other street drugs are frowned upon, greatly. Even if people snort cocaine back home it is done so very discretely. This is not the case in New York City and in fact many people who read this post will probably say, “Get Over Yourself or you are making a big deal out of nothing.” Well, call me lame for speaking about being in the presence of it but it is a big deal.
